Live Blogging: A’s @ Angels ST Game 2
4:34PM MDT: And that’s your ballgame…
4:30PM MDT: Angels will be sending their tenth pitcher of the game into this contest, God bless anyone who is able to keep a clean scorecard for a spring training game.
4:20PM MDT: Good to see Josh Donaldson getting a hit but for a guy like Ryan Braun the Halos’ pitcher trying to make the club as thirty year old, you don’t skip out of the way you try and make a play!
3:57PM MDT: Great bomb from Michael Taylor. When a pitcher leaves a pitch over like that you need to take advantage and good job by Taylor to do so.
3:52PM MDT: Michael Choice is hitting well so far, but we can’t forget he’s hitting against a bunch of Double-A pitchers come this time in the game.
3:48PM MDT: Listening to the broadcast on KLAA for a little bit, an Angels commercial came on for season ticket packages. Apparently if you buy now postseason options are available. That sounds like an empty promise to me with the construct of the 2011 Angels.
3:27PM MDT: Jai Miller with another drop in left field. Doesn’t seem like sunlight would be particularly bad in left today. This one is being ruled a hit not an error.
3:16PM MDT: Andy LaRoche‘s stomach must be a rock, how did Jean Segura get injured on this play? Messy sort of play though.
3:00PM MDT: Jose Mota is just terrible to listen to. He calls an awful game, doesn’t provide any insight and I am pretty sure the longer the game goes the less the word Angels sounds like Angels and I think he just said Angurs.
2:45PM MDT: After being shocked that Kevin Kouzmanoff took a pitch (albeit one right down the middle) to start and at-bat and then worked a count a bit, he strikes out on a breaking pitch down and in. And this is why we want a new third baseman.
2:39PM MDT: Don’t get why Conor Jackson didn’t swing 3-0 like Torii Hunter did. Its spring training. In a normal game yeah, take 3-0 get the run home possibly, but its Spring Training. Swing!
2:10PM MDT: McCarthy is looking good. Love the way the curve is moving.
1:23PM MDT: And error number two for Carter as he bobbles picking up a single through the infield. Yikes. Not cool.
1:20PM MDT: Straight to him and he drops it. Chris Carter experiment in left not looking so hot. Maybe it is him who replaces Matsui next year at DH? Fly balls do not get anymore routine than this.
